Change is happening all around us at speed: climate change
So perhaps you feel:
That you want to breathe with more ease…
Or be able to open up more rather than feel prone to outbursts of anger…especially when stressed…
Or be able to express your own unique authenticity in a world that prizes conformity…
So how can we find our own resources to cope and thrive ?
I was trained in and practiced Western Medicine – the kind of medicine that uses drugs and surgery to “fix” us. It has led to miracles: longer life spans, helped cure or manage conditions ranging from pneumonia, to broken bones, and diabetes.
But the skills I learned did not seem to help much with things like anxiety, depression, or perhaps that sense of fatigue or burnout that just don’t go away. Drugs such as anti-depressors or those used for anxiety just seemed to numb the symptoms but not to provide a cure.
So I became curious about trying approaches that weren’t necessarily recognized by mainstream medicine. And my medical knowledge was helpful in steering me away from those that did not seem to have any rationale rooted in medicine or science.
And finally… it was time to embark on my own healing journey. Working with breath seemed a good first step, and indeed, after my first session of Transformational Breath®in early 2023, I knew that the practice of a conscious, full, connected breath could provide benefits for both physical and emotional well-being.
And as my breath began to flow with more ease, I realized that I also wanted to the same kind of freedom and flow with the rest of my body. I discovered the Tamalpa Life Art Process, an art-based, somatic movement therapeutic approach (see LAP page).
And I ended up pursuing training in both Transformational Breath and Tamalpa Life Art Process in parallel!
And currently I am a Certified Transformational Breath Facilitator and a practitioner in training with Tamalpa Life Art Process.
